The Los Angeles Bioscience Ecosystem Summit 2021 (LABEST) is the premier showcase for bioscience innovation in Los Angeles County. This event is a collaboration with colleagues from across the county to present promising academic research, entrepreneurial faculty investigators, as well as local start- up companies. It is intended to promote awareness of the growing life science entrepreneurial ecosystem in Los Angeles and to foster partnerships with the biotechnology and life science industry.

Throughout the day, faculty members present the latest scientific breakthroughs, which will lead to the critical therapies of tomorrow. Leading bioscience translational research programs and start-ups will be showcased where Southern California Institutions have significant expertise, pioneering research and resource commitments directed towards developing innovative patient therapies.

Yes the conference will be completely online and features a user friendly graphic interface where you simply click on the auditorium, demo room, networking lounge, sponsor logos or info desk to enter a new environment or to find out more about an organization.

The conference spans 3 days running from Tue, May 25 thru Thur, May 27th.
Yes attendees are encouraged to ask questions and the panelists will do their best to answer given the time allotted
Yes the sessions will be recorded and available for 60 days after the live days end, as well as on the UCLA TDG YouTube page
One month before the event, registrants will be able to see and reach out to fellow attendees
Yes! Pre-event day, you will see a list of fellow attendees and be able to reach out to them and set up a virtual meeting.
The day of the event, you can enter the networking lounge and see who else is in the room and strike up a chat session or you can enter one of the themed chat rooms to meet like-minded attendees.
Yes! There will be over 20 exhibitors in our virtual exhibit hall. You will see a floor plan with each of the exhibitor’s name and can click on their location to “enter” their exhibit booth.
